Breath Watching (Mindful Breathing)


Basic

  1. Breathe to calm. (I am breathing in to calm and breathing out to calm.)
  2. Be aware that you are breathing. (I know I am breathing in. I know I am breathing out.)
  3. Notice how your breathing is now. (How is it?)
  4. Experience breath in whole body. (I am experiencing in-breath in my whole body and I am experiencing out-breath in my whole body.)
  5. Breathe with pleasantness. (I know I am breathing in with pleasantness and breathing out with pleasantness.)

Note

  • Important: Maintain unbroken continuous awareness of your breath from a beginning to an ending while doing the above practice as much you can.
  • You can practice the above methods in a sequence.
  • Breathe naturally- mindful (or conscious) breathing is a mental exercise, not a physical exercise.
